Town of Vienna Schedule for 2016
Note that there is a new game plan for leaf collection in Vienna this year!
Original Post: The leaves are falling all around my Vienna home, and it’s time to consult the collection schedule that the Town of Vienna puts out. Yes, Town residents get another perk… curbside leaf clean-up. Rake it to the curb and the guys will swing by on their
set schedule (sorry, no double backing).
People always admire the tall oak trees in our neighborhood which is such a part of living in Fairfax County. But the month of leaf clean-up can go on and on and on. Actually, it is a fun event that the kids get into… but when the third pass arrives it seems that I am the only one rushing to get the job done.
How It Works in 2016
“No matter where you live in Town, this fall you will be able to rake your leaves to the curb at any point between October 28 and December 31. As leaves begin to fall and accumulate, crews will begin collecting leaves starting in north Vienna.
Signs will be posted prior to crews arriving on your street.
Once the northern part of Town is completed, leaf crews will begin in south Vienna.
In total, three leaf collections will be performed throughout town from October 2016 through January 2017, weather permitting. As in previous years, collection crews will only pass your house once during each of the three collections. “
