Their Goal: Move closer to family and friends in Arizona
Where do you want to be?
Every client tells me the same thing… “Moving is exciting.“
And, totally nerve-wracking!
I get that, and that you are looking for solutions.
The common challenge you’ll face is that this big project involves your old home here, when you really want to be thinking about your new home (even if it’s only across town).
Admit it, emotionally, you are already there seeing friends, walking the beach, or setting up a foursome.
It’s normal to feel some pressure, and I understand that you really want to get to your “there place” as smoothly as possible.
Here’s a starting point
For me, the first step is understanding your timeline, putting together an achievable plan to maximize the market value of your home, then getting that plan rolling right away scheduling our marketing team.
My recommendations are always intended to maximize market appeal at a reasonable investment. For example, a professional modern paint job will add immediate resale value.
Providing our hands-on guidance will give you the freedom and confidence to focus on your new home.

Where do you start?
The best way to start is to send me an email or give me a call to set up a time for a confidential meeting. Ideally, walking together through your home and seeing important updates, additions, or renovations will give me the best opportunity to hear about your plans.
But these days I know that an in-person walk-through isn’t always possible, and that’s why I can easily set up a time to meet with you using Zoom. Your personal safety is important and I certainly want to respect your “health bubble”.
Your expectations
I respect that you will have high expectations when discussing selling your home, one of your largest investments. Being able to sell at the highest possible price is also my goal, and I will be direct when I see something that should be improved to make a better impact.
Understanding the current market is very important. Giving you additional personal insight into recent sales, recent “under contract” homes, and other “active listings” in your neighborhood is essential when giving you clear guidance. Online evaluation tools you may see on websites are fairly good, but be cautious because they’ll show you a quick guestimate while capturing your name, contact info and address to be sold to marketers.
I know that your personal health and safety is especially important right now. To tackle that problem when your home is on the market, only one group at a time will be allowed inside and required to wear masks. Approving appointments, limiting access to the lockbox, and keeping your home clean helps all parties stay protected while keeping your home available to show to all.
My approach is to keep your moving plans confidential until your home is ready to launch. We always get right to work helping to prepare your home for the market, and then hit the open-market with brilliant professional photography and a digital walkthrough tour for the world to see.
We get your home the attention it DESERVES
In any price range, I know that buyers are searching online and expect an immersive experience with great photos and a 3D tour when they see it pop up at home, across the country, or anywhere across the globe.
Your home will be on all the sites you expect, but also on our international site and global partners. Our brand has such powerful outreach, and you will see benefits starting at our first meeting right through to the closing.
Don’t just put your home on the market, get it the attention it deserves.
Areas where I work
I happen to live in Vienna, Virginia and have sold homes here for a long time. But I also work across Northern Virginia which includes Alexandria, Arlington, Falls Church, McLean, Fairfax, Oakton, Reston, Herndon, and Great Falls.
That is actually a concentrated area covering multiple jurisdictions and school systems. When people contact me for areas beyond then know that I will partner up with a TTR Sotheby’s colleague to provide the level of service and expertise you’ll need. This works well and I’ve helped people from the Blue Ridge to the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
Thoughts and next step
The demand for housing has been intense for a long time, but it really intensified last year at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. It was a combination of factors including mortgage rates below 3% and an increased desire for more personal space especially as we started to work (and teach) full-time from home. Any available homes were snatched up, and big investment gains provided ample cash for bigger down payments.
The year, 2020, was a dream scenario for home sellers, but an uphill marathon for many home buyers.
I understand that the real estate business is very competitive with agents around every corner. Friends, Facebook, Instagram, even postcards in your mailbox… I even get them in my mailbox from agents wanting to list my home!
So you know, I believe having a professional approach from the start is absolutely critical. Putting our plan in action for you will lead to an easier experience where you’ll feel in control throughout the transaction. And that comes through constant communication with me from our first contact through Settlement Day.
Let’s talk and get you moving where you really want to be.
